We are currently seeking Experienced Heavy Equipment Operators – Skilled Finishers and Production Workers for a construction project in Fort Collins, CO area.
Local candidates preferred.

2 Dozer operator
Excavator operator
1 Loader operator
1 Motor Grader Operator
Pay starts at $28/hr.Education requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
Additional training or certifications are helpfulExperience requirements
2+ years experience in heavy civil/highway construction
Experience in Earthwork and Utilities
5–10 years of Finish Blade experience and/or a minimum of 3 years’ experience operating a Dozer with GPSQualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license. CDL with endorsements may be required for some positions
Ability to work extended hours, possible nights/weekends
Knowledge of grading and excavating foundations
Knowledge on cutting slopes to a safe grade
Knowledge of trench safety
Knowledge of operating dozers with GPS
Must have personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, steel toe boots, seat belt, and gloves
Must be willing and able to work outside in extreme weather conditions including temperatures in excess of 100 degrees
Ability to give instruction/direction and communicate effectively while working in stressful situations
Ability to listen and take direction from others
Willingness to be a team player and help train less experienced employees
Must make safety a top priority and have some mechanical skill, as you will be maintaining the equipment you operate. We are committed to the safety and wellness of our team.
A skills test and a pre-hire drug test is required

Fuel and grease equipment daily.
Maintain a safe, clean job site and work environment.
Over-excavate and re-compact.
Operate equipment in an efficient manner.
Follow instructions for on-site management.
Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.
Move/load material utilizing dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
Under the direction of the supervisor, you should be able to roughly balance a roadway prior to blue topping, then final tolerance using blue tops and electronic blade controls
Work on highway projects and site prep projects.
Work around underground utilities.Skills
Ability to work in a high-stress environment
Ability to lift loads up to 75 lbs or more
Ability to use both arms and legs
Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
Must have an acceptable level of correctable vision for near, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception
Must have sufficient hearing for being aware of backup alarms, hearing equipment, and for normal conversations. Ability to work in a high-stress environment
Should be proficient at grading super curves, turn lanes, parking lots (large and small), shoulder construction and be able to fine grade 2 to 4 miles or two-lane roads in a ten hour shiftWork hours
This position is full-time (weather permitting). Average workdays usually last up to 10+ hours, requiring overtime and working Saturdays.
