This position will work remotely for the duration of the engagement. The candidate will have to come onsite the first day to collect equipment. The Technical Specialist is a senior level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in a specific technology. The working title for this position is Data Scientist.The Data Scientist you will work in collaboration with our business and IT people to create insight from data. The work will require solving complex problems by turning vast amounts of data into business insights through data exploration, data modeling, and advanced analytics including machine learning and AI. The candidate should have a strong foundation in analytics, mathematical modeling, computer science, and math - coupled with a strong business sense. They will proactively ingest information from various sources and analyze it to create a better understanding about how the business is performing. Furthermore, the Data Scientist models and builds AI tools that automate certain processes within the organization. The solutions produced will be implemented to execute upon the organization’s mission statement. ResponsibilitiesDevelop an understanding of business objectives and obstacles, create solutions based on advanced analytics, and draw implications for model development. Combine, explore, and draw insights from data, often from large and complex data assets from different parts of the organization. Identify and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets to enable the business to take data-driven decisions. Design and build descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive models, utilizing optimization, simulation, and machine learning techniques. Prototype and pilot new solutions and help ‘productize’ those valuable solutions that can have impact across the organization Guide and coach other colleagues to help solve data/technical problems at an operational level, and in methodologies to help improve development processes. Help non-technical staff understand technical answers/solutions.
