Responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: The position will be responsible for participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. This position will be in the CSBD Production Support team. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops relationships with business, application development and production support stakeholders to better understand requirements and to support resolution of issues quickly
  • Assists with break-fix/defects management, especially intake, triaging and prioritization of defects
  • Analyzes and classifies complex change request and identifies and documents possible enhancements.
  • Participates in developing application scope and objectives and preparing functional and/or technical specifications.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing ITSM operational processes
  • Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.
  • Participates in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Provides on-call support and monitors the system. Facilitates small group design sessions or code reviews and participates in vendor evaluation.
  • Collaborates with geographically diverse associates and external vendor partners to get work accomplished
  • Ensures adherence to enterprise and team processes, procedures and guidelines
  • Assists with the team's reporting needs as required
  • Applies and mentors use of tools to define requirements
  • Anticipates and identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills will be a plus
  • Experience working in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment is required. The candidate should be able to help the team build better systems by learning, exhibiting, and coaching SAFe's Agile principles and practices
Qualifications BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training; 5 or more years related experience; multi platform experience; , expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead multiple small projects and provide troubleshooting support. Multi dimensional required. An ideal candidate will have:
  • Hands on experience developing in a distributed application and must have hands on experience in Java, JavaScript, JSP, and Web Services SQL.
  • Minimum 4 year experienced in developing ETL with Informatica or DataStage or SSIS.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a development lead on major projects.
  • Operating System knowledge (Linux, UNIX, AIX, Windows, etc.) Oracle DB, Oracle SQL Developer, PL SQL, SQL Server, MS SQL, Putty, Shell scripting, TOAD, Ultra edit, WebSphere Liberty.
  • Requires flexibility working outside of normal hours and weekends as demanded by business needs
  • Experience with defect management and tools such as Jira, Service NOW, Confluence, MS SharePoint etc.
  • Experience in both Waterfall and Agile (such as Scrum) preferred
