As the Python Developer, you will be responsible for maintain and enhancing margin applications using Python, Oracle programming, Java and scripting. You will be joining as a hands on developer to enhance and support an existing application within PB Margin and Risk. This position does require experience within the banking and financial industry.
Responsibilities:- Integrate the application with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools
- Work with other teams to coordinate required testing
- Enhancing and supporting existing applications within PB Margin and Risk
- Experience working with Python and Oracle
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience as a hands on developer
- Experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus.
- Experience in Python (3-5 years), Core Java 5 , Oracle database skills as developer
- Ability to architect/maintain high volume systems
- Familiarity with capital market products (FI/EQ/FX/Opt) is desirable.
- PROD and Lower lane management, application deployments, capacity management.
- Strong experience with databases (Oracle) such as SQL.
- Experience with project management and tools, such as Agile, Jira, Scrum, etc.
- Experience in code analytic tools, test coverage, style, complexity and security scans.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain to various stakeholders.
- Experience in Financial Service Industry is required - preferably in Margin or Risk area
- Prior experience within the banking industry is required
- Good Analytical, Debugging and design skills
- Ability and expertise working in AGILE development methodology
- Banking knowledge would be a big advantage
- Must be a self-tarter, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's Degree (BE, MS, etc.) and above
