job summary:In need of a Cross Platform Engineer withMinimum of 5 years experience coding in C and C# or Objective-C (ideally all three)Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, firewall, VPN, NAT, TLS, HTTPExperience triaging field issues and working with customer success teamsfocus on unit testing and identifying targets for quality improvementAbility to design and construct cross platform solutions for Microsoft and Apple client devicesDesired Skills (need at least five of the following)Deep understanding of enterprise networking environments and network protocols including IPv6Deep understanding of compilers, build systems, and CICD tool chainsKeen understanding of debugging techniques and ability to interpret network packet tracesDriver development experience, especially packet processingUnderstanding of test automation and desire to support enhancements to test suitesExperience with software deployment tools and processesAbility to step back from an isolated issue and identify the larger implementation patterns to be refactoredExperience with identify management and currently deployed technologiesKnowledge of encryption, key management, key exchange, secure development practices, and related topicsExperience with large scale software as a service architecturesExposure to agile development environments and application of test driven developmentBackground in cyber security location: SAN FRANCISCO, Californiajob type: Contractsalary: $60 - 70 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:In this role you will research and develop solutions for customer specific requirements and resolve compatibility challenges with third party security agents. You will work closely with our customer success team, product management, and test automation engineers to identify and fill gaps in product behavior, refactor source code where performance or stability improvements are achievable, and produce solutions to improve customer satisfaction. This role requires the ability to identify and implement solutions to issues that were not originally considered in the product implementation so a healthy amount of creativity and ingenuity is a core requirement for success in this role. You will be expected to work across multiple engineering groups within the broader Cisco organization and with our operating system vendor partners. Experience with client side cyber security agents and endpoint security in general will be especially useful for solving the challenges you will encounter in this role. qualifications:
