DevOps Engineer II

Do you like collaborating across teams to solve complex problems?Are you excited to build fault tolerant, highly available systems?Join the Network Systems GroupOur Networks team is responsible for deploying and maintaining our large global network that delivers a high percentage of the internet traffic. We support the various sub-teams within Networks, allowing them to do their jobs more efficiently. Be part of enhancing our organizationAs a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal services. You will work with various teams to shape our continuous integration and deployment environments. As a Dev Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Automating the installation and updating of software as well as maintenance tasks.
  • Building tools to help keep track of server and application health
  • Managing systems with large amounts of data - both relational and non-relational
  • Improving system availability, reliability, and performance
  • Developing CI/CD pipelines
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
  • Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
  • Demonstrate an understanding of data structures and basic algorithms
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of networking and internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS
  • Be comfortable in a Linux/UNIX environment in a Systems Administration capacity
  • Be self-motivated, highly responsible team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Possess experience managing a relational databases such as MySQL or postgresql
  • Have solid experience with Python, Perl or PHP
