Intern supports the ARCYBER Program Management Office in direct support of the On-boarding, Mandatory Training, and Training Compliance Program.

Tasks include:

1. Project Initiation - The student will be exposed to the relevant "client" information that would be typically collected during the onboarding process, initial mandatory training, and tracking of continued training compliance. The student will develop and wireframe a website / digital experience to meet the Program Manager's expectations to include Hierarchy Mapping. The on-boarding process will include modules for: Account creation; CAC activation, time and attendance, and employee benefits.

2. Website Development - The student will design and build a website based on their Hierarchy Mapping developed in Step 1 that leverages industry best practices to ensure page speed and matches the "client's" design criteria. The student will use a combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to create an engaging and functionally sound web experience.

3. Revisions and Updates - The student will assess and respond to "client" revisions to meet the clients needs while maintaining the original structure of the site. The student will repeat this process until they receive final approval.

4. On-Site Optimization - The student will learn and employ on-page optimizations for both page speed and search engine optimization. The student will configure server caching and alternative image rendering processes to create a sub 2 second page load. The student will also learn the basics of the Google Search Engine algorithm and optimize content and headings to help promote better search results across all search engines.

5. Analytics and Tracking- The student will configure and implement a variety of user tracking and session tracking analytics codes, as well as complete testing to ensure all codes are firing appropriately.This internship program results in the student becoming accustomed to the entire development cycle of a small-medium sized business website, and is designed to prepare the student for all technical aspects of the development process. The student will learn each component of these tasks from an expert in a wide variety of live environments, and then employ what they learned for their primary internship project.At the end of the internship the student should have the ability to create, host, and manage dynamic and responsive websites that meet industry security, speed, and search engine standards.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule- Students are paid a competitive salary commensurate with their education level. - Receive annual leave, sick leave and paid federal holidays. - Participation in company-wide extracurricular programs. - Students who attend schools in excess of 75 miles from Augusta, GA, are eligible for a round trip airfare ticket to and from school or mileage reimbursement up to the cost of a government-issued airline ticket.

Qualifications- .- Must be eligible to be granted a security clearance.- A GPA of 3.0 minimum, 3.5 or higher is preferred.- Must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking college or university program with at least one semester remaining following the internship. Or, for those students about to graduate from one-degree program, it is necessary to clearly state future plans demonstrating continued academic pursuits in the term immediately following the internship.- Must provide transcripts covering academic qualifications described above.- While the major focus of the Perspecta Georgia Summer Intern Program is toward STEM degree programs in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cyber Security, other degree fields will be considered on a case-by-case basis.- Must be available for an operational interview and other applicable processing between the months of January 2021 and March 2021.
