SummaryThe Sr. Business Systems Analyst will provide technical support and advice on business processes and systems issues in both run mode and development of new processes/support. The Sr. Business Systems Analyst may also become a key resource, available to support new clients through block conversions.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as Internal & External Customer Liaison to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Serve as Lead BSA Team Member to prioritize, delegate, and disseminate work on the Project Delivery Team and/or across multiple projects.
  • Lead the research and application of best practices to the clients’ situation with respect to business and operational processes, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Operate in conjunction with team members of the project or IT Applications to establish a solution approach; organize communications and expectations to support members of the team.
  • Participate in cross-pollination and domain discussions with external clients, internal staff, and off-shore teams.
  • Facilitate the identification of business needs.
  • Develop and execute proposed business and technical solutions.
  • Develop business requirements for the business/technology solutions that will allow the client and internal customer departments to become more efficient and effective.
  • Estimate implementation costs and efforts.
  • Document flows and procedures for performance quality, as a result of the implementations, ensuring the quality of solutions delivered.
  • Identify, develop, and execute continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide other support to operations as identified.

Requirements
  • 8 years of work experience in systems or quantitative analysis and business solutions development.
  • 8 years of experience in Annuity, Mutual Funds, Financial Services, or Life Insurance industries.
  • Ability to demonstrate Life Insurance and Annuity industry knowledge.
  • Must be analytical and organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work experience or an education in programming.
  • Experience in project management and/or client/block conversions.
  • Basic knowledge of PC, Client/Server, and network environments.
  • Proven application of analytical skills and solution-focused mindset.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or business related field.
  • FLMI, ChFC, CLU, or other industry/field-related designations.
