Security Analyst/Engineer Mid Level

Description:Our client is looking to hire a W2 Consultant for a 12 month + contract that could potentially go permanent. They are building out an assurance remediation team and the goal is to get a hold on the security posture from a networking device standpoint. Skills:Security tools: Wireshark, PCI compliance, SOX compliance, remediation, firewall/intrusion detection, policy changes, Linux, problem management, proxy, proxy server, SOX audit, scripting, python scriptingTop Skills Details:1) The resource must have experience with Linux, all of the firewalls are built on various flavors of Linux. Must be able to go within the command line use bash or python to pull data.2) Former exposure and applicable use of multiple security tools (Wireshark, proxy, MacAfee, UpGuard, NAC) Packet analysis will be a day to day function of the role.3) Scripting knowledge it will be involved in host discovery, the sending and decoding of packets, accessing servers, port scanning and network scanning4) Ability to track firewall audit points and completing due diligence for audit reviews (PCI and SOX environment).5) Firewall policy change - This resource will be responsible for ensuring that firewalls are carrying out their correct action through policy change and firewall management. Someone that has ID/IPS could be helpful.Additional Skills & Qualifications:40% looking at analytics, looking at data and at vulnerability reports30% doing research and innovation; coming up with ways on how they can build a tool to make this repeatable processes more automated30% managing alerts, setting up new alert from a firewall audit perspective.
