We are looking for an assistant kitchen manager at our fast paced high volume restaurant/bar/casino in historic Deadwood SD. This individual will need to consistently provide guests with an outstanding dining experience, while providing team members with development opportunities. High standards of food, service, and financial management are a significant part of an assistant kitchen manager’s everyday duties. An assistant kitchen manager is responsible for all areas pertaining to the kitchen, which includes food cost management, labor management, quality control, and health & safety issues. The assistant kitchen manager will from time to time participate in the hiring, training, and coaching of kitchen staff as per guidelines of the company. Such positions are responsible for overseeing maintenance of all equipment used in the kitchen.

This job requires a high school diploma or equivalent education. Persons who have completed post secondary culinary programs are preferred. Knowledge of personal computers or ability to acquire appropriate-level skills in computer use and in restaurant software use is essential. An assistant kitchen manager is also required to possess problem solving and analytical and PEOPLE skills
