Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician position open for 49-year old Commercial Property Management and Construction company in Anchorage.

Western Enterprises, Inc. is looking for someone who wants to start a career with us, who has experience in maintenance or a basic understanding and a willingness to learn. Applicants must be able to complete tasks with minimal instruction and oversight. Applicants should be energetic and team players capable of taking direction.

We are willing to develop skills, but one or more of the following skills are required:

Light electrical (i.e. replacing bulbs and ballasts, etc.)

Light plumbing maintenance (i.e. fixing leaks, changing stem valves, flappers, etc.)

Drywall patching

Light framing for tenant remodels

Analyzing problems (i.e. temperature issues)

Snow shoveling required in the winter

Other information and requirements:

Driver’s license and vehicle insurance is required.

Company prefers employee to have own vehicle initially, but is willing to provide take home vehicle in time.

Periodic work required in Wasilla and Palmer

Hours are generally 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.

Some overtime required

Must live in Anchorage

Own basic tools required such as hand tools and impact drills
