- Work with engineers on the design, deployment and continuous improvement of important infrastructure services (i.e. logging, monitoring and alerting)
- Scoping of work, management of backlog and predictability of project delivery
- Provide input into long-range platform requirements and operational guidelines, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement of Platform Service
- Develop and own best practices/methodologies for provisioning, application scaling, configuration management, capacity planning, monitoring, etc. to improve organization-wide visibility into how distributed systems interact and perform in production
- Secure and govern the infrastructure by implementing strong access policies and rules
- Own daily operational goals with the team
- Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
- Assist and mentor the other entry level SRE/Devops engineers
- 10+ years of Software / DevOps Engineering experience
- Cloud infrastructure management (preferably AWS)
- Automation/configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Salt Stack, Chef)
- Orchestration tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- System administration (e.g. RedHat, Debian)
- Experience in CICD pipeline using GitLab/GitHub and Jenkins (or similar)
- Metrics acquisition and analysis; regex log searching and anomaly detection (e.g. ELK, Splunk, Grafana)
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash or similar
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Strong multi-tasking skills and active interest in the DevOps movement.
