Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Analyst II Level:
  • Operate and Manage effective and scalable solutions, clustering and integration strategies with the Windows Server Operating System on both classified and unclassified networks.
  • Assist with administering effective/scalable hybrid cloud solutions including balancing workloads and managing M365 environments.
  • Coordinate patching efforts and remediate cyber vulnerabilities within Windows servers systems per established Service Level Agreements.
  • Support account provisioning and account management activities in classified environment to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated Help Desk tickets.
  • Assist in writing security plans, performing certification and accreditation tests to validate security policies are in place.
  • Lead lower complexity projects to design, install, implement new or modify existing systems.
  • Team with more experienced technical personnel on medium and high complexity projects to design, install, implement new or modify existing systems.
  • Utilize PowerShell and other automation technologies to improve processes and reduce support efforts.
  • Manage test bed and equipment deployment projects from start to finish including racking all varieties of hardware, cabling, OS installation/vulnerability patching and firmware upgrades.
  • Engineer solutions in response to support requests and for improving internal processes and procedures.
  • Report Key Performance Indicators, including capacity planning, system health.
  • Create knowledge articles and other supporting documentation as needed.
  • Participate in problem management and root cause analysis and maintain 24x7 availability and monitoring of enterprise system servers.
Senior Infrastructure Analyst Level:
  • Operate and Manage effective and scalable solutions, clustering and integration strategies with the Windows Server Operating System on both classified and unclassified networks in a highly virtualized environment.
  • Support Microsoft 365 migration and collaboration efforts. Create standard operating procedures for team to support and maintain Azure AD, Authentication/SSO, Auditing, Mail Flow, Security, Account provisioning, etc.
  • Develop and manage effective/scalable hybrid cloud solutions including developing workable migration strategies mindful of business impacts.
  • Work with more experienced personnel in architecting and engineering appropriate technical solutions in response to medium and high business impact customer requests and for improving internal processes and procedures.
  • Lead medium complexity projects involving one or more team members to design, install, implement new or modify existing systems.
  • Provide leadership in resolving systemic issues related to successful system patching/vulnerability remediation efforts for Windows servers per established Service Level Agreements.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated Help Desk tickets of medium to high complexity.
  • Write, review, and provide guidance in development of security plans and performing certification and accreditation tests to validate security policies are in place.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and utilize PowerShell or other scripting technologies to address medium-high complexity automation opportunities that improve processes and reduce support efforts.
  • Provide input for reporting Key Performance Indicators, including capacity planning, system health.
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences including IT management.
  • Mentor less experienced personnel to improve technical competency and performance.
  • Create knowledge articles and other supporting documentation as needed.

Infrastructure Analyst II Level:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent training and experience with at least 2 years of relevant (system administration) experience in a Windows Server/VMware Environment.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, Active Directory, Group Policy Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 solutions (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Experience with scripting languages (i.e., PowerShell).
  • Understanding of database management systems such as Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, VLAN, various WAN technologies.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with customer and vendor technical personnel.
  • Windows Server and Azure certifications are a plus.
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Senior Infrastructure Analyst Level:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent training and experience with at least 5 years of relevant (system administration) experience in a Windows Server/VMware Environment.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Roles/Features. Advanced knowledge on Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Certificate Services, etc.
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure, Azure AD) including implementation, support, and migration of workloads.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Migrations/Administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Federation with emphases on collaboration.
  • Experience with VMware technologies such as vSphere and Horizon.
  • Experienced with scripting languages. Expert level experience with PowerShell would be a plus.
  • Understanding of database management systems such as Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, VLAN, various WAN technologies.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and the ability to develop and manage effective working relationships with customer and vendor technical personnel.
