OVERVIEW: We are in search of a Clinical Systems Trainer whose primary focus will be on the training and education of all systems that are within the clinical environment of the P3 ecosystem. Primarily working directly with clinical and operational staff to provide mentoring, education and training in the use of athenaNet by Athena Health, the P3 Medical Group’s EHR and Revenue Cycle Management system. Performs needs assessments and monitors compliance to ensure transfer of learning. The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as group presentation skills. The person will have a thorough understanding of how to train the adult learner. This position will report to the Application Support Manager and work closely with training department. This position will require 20% out-of-state travel for periods of time (Up to 1 week).

PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will assess and analyze training needs through shadowing, audits, surveys, interviews with employees and consultation with managers. Create, organize, update and deliver clinical training content for new hires. Organize and prepare course plans. Choose and evaluate training materials and delivery methods, such as live trainings, slide decks, recorded training modules, quizzes, etc.This position is also responsible for:• Being a resource to staff for questions related to performing job tasks of the clinical systems.• Making training material and job aids readily available via appropriate delivery channels.• Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate P3’s commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.• Organizes and presents training classes on clinical systems.• Supports initial and ongoing training of employees on athenaNet by Athena Health.• Supports initial and ongoing training of employees on all other clinical systems.• Participates in the design and development of training documentation, job aides, manuals and training performance evaluations.• Develops mechanisms for scheduling training sessions.• Administers standardized performance evaluations.• Determines local, regional and individual training needs assessments.• Delivers training programs to individuals, small and large groups.

REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:• Must have 5 years training experience in a variety of setting and group sizes.• Proficiency in athenaNet or similar EHR system.• Familiarity with Care Management activity, ideally in a risk environment.• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.• Must be a compelling public speaker.• Must have the ability to engage trainees in discussions during educational sessions.• Must have excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.• Must have strong time management skills, work independently, meet deadlines and be an effective multi-tasker.• Exceptional leadership and management skills.• Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office applications; professional user of training applications and remote communication tools (i.e. Zoom).• Must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills.• Must have good problem solving and decision-making skills along with the ability to exercise sound judgment.• Ability to transfer knowledge to clients with diverse cultural backgrounds, educational experiences and learning styles.• Experience in curriculum design.• Experience in technical training.

PREFERRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:• Knowledge of adult learning principles.• Knowledge and use of Electronic Health Record software.• Knowledge of healthcare industry terminology and clinical and Provider workflows.• Experience developing and delivering training through a learning management system (LMS).• Experience developing, editing, and publishing videos on the web.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in IT, organizational development, communications, healthcare or related area of study and 5-years of technical training experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
