As soon as Covid lifts, must work on site in Las Vegas, NV.)About the JobThe Software Release Engineer will maintain, upgrade, and manage our software releases on our facility and at our customer s facilities. The incumbent will diagnose and resolve problems quickly and communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. The goal will be to ensure that our applications run smoothly and efficiently on various installations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a release for our application using build tools.
  • Install and configure software including Windows, web and mobile applications.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases.
  • Upgrade and maintain test environments.
  • Create release and deployment documents.
  • Review/update user manuals for applications.
  • Manage web servers and technology tools.
  • Set up accounts and user roles on applications.
  • Monitor application and system performance.
  • Maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
  • Build an internal WIKI and technical documentation manuals.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Company OSHA policies and procedures. Follow all lawful employer safety and health rules.
  • Report hazardous conditions to management.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Desired Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain any licensing in applicable jurisdictions.
  • Proven experience as a software release and deployment administrator or similar role.
  • Experience with build tools, databases, networks and patch management.
  • Familiarity of basic PC hardware and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of software build process for various types of applications.
  • Working knowledge of databases and data backup/recovery.
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other similar language.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with sports wagering applications is a plus.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel independently to local job sites.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Experience in gaming and/or sports betting industry preferred.
