Node.JS Developers to code functional programs and applications developed for a Federal Healthcare Solution. The developer will have the ability to work with other developers in a team consisting of 5-8 developers. Position is virtual for now and later preferably needs availability for client site and/or quarterly meeting attendance in Baltimore. MD, will consider full remote preferably on East Coast. We are not able to offer Visa sponsorship. Could also be on a C2C or 1099 basis.

Requirements:
  • We expect the successful candidate to invest a good portion of their time close to the technology, coding, and developing software. They will also closely collaborate with multiple architects, analysts, designers, and engineers, with a focus on integrating components to support new feature development.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing large scale consumer-facing web applications, services, and APIs
  • At least 2 years of solid experience building backend microservices using Node.js
  • At least 2 years of solid experience with Angular JS
  • At least 2 years of solid experience with Test-Driven Development
  • Experience in designing and implementing ReST APIs
  • Hands-on experience with Docker in daily development usage.
  • Working Experience with AWS EC2, Elastic Container Service (ECS), S3 and RDS PostgreSQL
  • Experience with version control tools specifically Git and GitHub
  • Hands-on experience in Continuous Integration with Jenkins and Continuous Deployment with CloudFormation
  • Experience working with and coordinating with other team members using Slack
  • Experience working in team environments that use agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe
  • Experience with API Integration with Cloud/SAS products would be preferable
  • Must have: JavaScript, Node.JS, Docker, Git, Jenkins, AWS understanding
  • PostgreSQL experience would be preferable
  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities:
  • We expect the successful candidate to invest a good portion of their time close to the technology, coding, and developing software.   • Contributes to defining and estimating timelines, costs, and feasibility for application development projects.
  • Provides proof-of-concept or minimally viable product prototypes that set examples regarding new technology or design patterns.
  • Periodically reviews code from scrum development teams.
  • Partners with enterprise architects for design and review of products with respect to adherence to standards, enterprise models, strategies, and best practices.
  • Enables and drives development of microservices and containerized solutions.
  • Designs and develops solutions using JavaScript and Javascript Technologies (e.g., Node, Angular, React), and other related technologies.
  • Promotes and drives use of agile and DevOps methodologies and patterns including continuous integration, continuous testing, test-driven development, continuous delivery, etc.
