FAA AI/ML Research Engineer

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Engineer to join our FAA team in Washington, DC. This position will, as part of a small team, conduct engineering analyses of emerging data analysis technologies and assess their possible application to FAA traffic management systems.Responsibilities:

• Support the creation of the project execution plan and research plan.
• Support the analysis of existing NAS system data and current trajectory models.
• Conduct engineering studies of emerging technologies and evaluate their application and usefulness for FAA trajectory modeling in traffic flow management applications.

• Experience with FAA traffic management applications and/or trajectory modeling methodology.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Experience conducting engineering studies of as-is FAA systems.

• Experience conducting research into technology solutions, particularly those involving AI/ML applications for data analysis.
• Experience supporting the FAA, especially with research-oriented tasks.
• Experience in data analytics.

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (civil, electrical, electronic, chemical, industrial, mechanical, aeronautical, avionics, environmental or computer from a college or university with a degree curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology -ABET) and 6-10 years related experience OR
• Master’s Degree and 3-7 years related experience.
