Job Description

The Business Development lead will prioritize and lead all new business pursuits for Razorfish. This growth lead is responsible for identifying, pursuing and attaining all tracks of net new revenue increases.

Specifically positioning solutions where Razorfish will drive holistic change from front stage customer experience and journey to key capabilities behind back stage organization and operations. Experience should include: business development financial management rigor, smart prospecting, pursuit prioritization and mapping, honing a tailored marketing strategy, optimizing pitch approach, crafting clear narrative showcasing creative, data, and technology, instilling a win or learn mentality amongst his/her team, accountable tracking of progress against plans and budgets, and creating a culture of aggressive growth within the agency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create a pursuit strategy that aligns with the Razorfish business leadership’s strategies
  • TargetFortune 1000 companies plus other noteworthy brands who are looking to make an impact in the marketplace
  • Leads development of sales strategies fornet-new pursuits
  • Responsible to help close new business deals after initial meetings with potential new clients
  • Ability to sell digitally native marketing strategies, data-driven marketing, performance media, social, and martech capabilities
  • Accountable for win/loss ratio and healthy business development financials
  • Developing relentless, collaborative, unbeatable business development team
  • Creating the culture of learning, honing and optimizing in order to drive growth
  • Driving holistic marketing that raises the awareness of key executives, work, capabilities, thought leadership, etc.
  • Responsible for productive relationships with pitch consultants and other key ecosystem partners to drive leads
  • Build a library of selling assets and best practices
  • Ability to represent and sell-in the full suite of Razorfish and other services that are offered across Publicis Groupe
  • Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events and outbound marketing

Experience Guidelines:

  • Successful track record of building business for adigital agency, marketing transformation or digital business transformation consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of constructing customer journeys, performance marketing, data-driven optimization, martech platforms, digital marketing transformation, advertising channels, social, etc.
  • Must have experience with multi-nationals and global brands with complex marketing needs that could require global/local alignment and collaboration
  • Ability to speak to all levels of prospective clients: strategic and tactical decision makers
  • Proven experience in building and leading a cross-functional team in the pitch/BD process
  • Best of the best writing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to engaging with C-level digital marketing or marketing transformation executives
  • Ability to reach across the cross-functional aisles and the various capability groups across theorganization in order to drive more wins
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior business development and account management team members
  • Ability to understand macro business issues and articulate value generating opportunities supported Razorfish capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonaland negotiation skills

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of developing business for a digital agency, marketing transformation or digital business transformation consultancy
  • Experience with multi-nationals and global brands
  • Strong network in East region (New York)
  • BA or equivalent experience preferred
