The Community Cat Assistant Coordinator works directly with the Community Cat Program and must be a Cat Enthusiast!

Schedule:

Tuesday – Friday from 9:00am – 6:00pm

Saturday from 7:30am – 4:30pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

Respond to phone calls.

Respond to emails.

Assist clinic staff for intake of cats; transfer of cats; sedation of feral cats; care for injured feral cats.

Educate and assist walk-in clients.

Transport cats to/from Pawmetto Lifeline and cat colonies.

Responsible for handling 24/7 CCP cell phone during work hours and scheduled weekends.

Assist trappers with loading and unloading of cats.

Communicate and coordinate kitten drop off and pick up.

Coordinate and assist trapper with large trapping sites and injured cats.

Schedule appointments.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.

Ability to quickly learn veterinary management software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently.

Driver’s license required (must be able to transport cats)

Able to follow instructions given in written or oral form

Maintain confidence around cats

Empathetic, patient, hardworking, and passionate

Reliable transportation and clean driving record within the last 3 years

Education and Experience:High School Diploma requiredThis position prefers the applicant to have at least one year of experience working or volunteering for animal welfare organization.

Prefer someone with basic cat handling experience.

Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift 25+ pounds at times.

Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Allergic conditions, which would be aggravated when handling or working with animals, would be a disqualification.

Job Type: Full-time
