Job Overview

Prototypes offers residential and outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and mental health services. Prototypes is a leader in the field of SUD services community mental health, and criminal justice treatment. Prototypes installs hope that recovery is possible. This position is for our DMC funded, outpatient substance abuse treatment program.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative works includes: Coordination with compliance and QI on the EHRs audits and reports, development and administration of office procedures and systems, development and maintenance of spreadsheets, reports, and communications, attends and takes notes in clinical team meetings, develop and maintain communication across multiple program departments and agencies, tracks client clinical progress using agency EHR, complete treatment episode closures through various EHR systems, t Tracks, submits, and provides follow-ups on weekly court reports and letters, assists with tracking/interviews for grant based projects.

Clinical work includes: Assists clients with transition in care level, monitors client's progress toward achieving treatment plan goals and provides treatment plan input, utilizes trauma informed care while applying motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and evidence-based practices in groups and individual sessions, seeks clinical consultation throughout the treatment episode and when encountering new and/or high- risk clinical circumstance, and responsible for treatment oversight of the clients on their caseload.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Certified or Registered substance abuse counselor.

Completion/near completion of Alcohol and Drug Counseling education for certification.

AA or equivalent, desired.

Exemplary computer and administrative skills, including a high-degree of proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Strong writing and proof-reading skills.

Preferably a minimum of two years’ experience in the human service field and demonstrated expertise in substance abuse treatment, relapse prevention, and recovery.
