The County of Sonoma Information Systems Department (ISD) is seeking talented Web Support Specialists to join their team!

Starting salary up to $43.46/hour ($90,706/year), plus a cash allowance of approximately $600/month

The County of Sonoma is looking to fill two positions in the ISD Enterprise Development Division on their Web Team. These positions provide content updates and site maintenance for all departments on the County websites, as well as ongoing support for emergencies on the SoCo Emergency Website. They are responsible for editing web content, including general copy, images, and documents; and providing guidance on content organization and website navigation. The Web Support Specialists interact with customers, on the phone and through email, to diagnose and resolve or escalate problems. They also track, evaluate, and prioritize incoming requests for customer assistance via a ticketing system.

Additionally, Web Support Specialists remediate a variety of document types (Word, PowerPoint, PDF) and webpages for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. They work with vendor representatives to research and resolve software problems. They also develop and provide training for end users on topics such as usability, content remediation, website editing and accessibility tools, and website standards.

The skills we are looking to bring to our team include:Web content design and copy editing

Experience with HTML 5, CSS3

Web Tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Ektron, Ingeniux, and WordPress web content management systems. Experience with SharePoint is a plus

Familiarity with service / ticket tracking systems

Strong analytical, planning, time management, problem solving, and organizational skills

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to handle multiple urgent requests and effectively manage workload

Willingness to learn and adapt as web technology and standards change

Fluency in Spanish is a plusWhat We Offer

This requires that a more extensive “Security Clearance” be performed, after hire, by the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office. Successful completion of the probationary period will be contingent upon passing the security clearance, which includes a Live Scan fingerprint based check of California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) criminal records.
