Construction Surveying CAD Technician

Job Description

We are a well-established, multi-office Land Surveying Company seeking an experienced full-time Construction Surveying CAD Technician to perform office calculations for our construction layout projects in the northern Front Range urban corridor. This position is in our Longmont office location. Candidate should have prior experience with construction surveying staking / layout. Ability to read and interpret construction plans is required. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. Experience with boundary and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic mapping, and other design surveys preferred. Experience with Trimble RTK GPS equipment and/or robotic total stations a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform office calculations (points and field plots) for layout / staking of commercial and heavy civil

construction projects under the supervision of the Construction Department Manager using AutoCAD

Civil3D

This position is for construction surveying projects only. Little to no cadastral survey drafting is required or

needed.

Required Experience

Knowledge/experience with survey layout (staking) for new construction, including ability to

read/interpret/cross check civil design plans.

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Strong ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously

Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
