Opportunity:

This position will work innovatively and collaboratively with the firm’s Airport Group, as well as with the various engineering disciplines within Morrison-Maierle. Our team approach promises to deliver final projects that are coordinated, cost-effective, sustainable solutions that will meet the long-term needs of our clients.

This position will provide a rewarding opportunity for a person driven to exceed client and firm expectations in the areas of business development, project management, project delivery, undertaking the technical work associated with airport design and planning; leading and mentoring junior engineers. Project management, client service and team leadership skills are fundamental to this position and the firm’s daily environment.

Project Types: Airside/Landside Pavement Design and Analysis, Airside/Landside site development, Airside Signage/Lighting Design, Navigational Aids, Airfield Support Facilities, Terminals, Airspace Studies, Airport Planning, Land Use Planning and Environmental Permitting

Responsibilities:

Lead business development initiatives (proposal development, interviews, presentations, etc.) and coordinate efforts with other members of the firm’s Airport Group.

Develop, foster and maintain strong relationships with present and potential clients.

Mentor junior engineers from a client service and technical development perspective.

Manage scope, schedule, budget and personnel for projects. Projects include, but are not limited to, planning, design, construction management, scheduling, coordinating detailed phases of studies, investigations and preparation of contract documents, and other components associated with airports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the delivering consulting services in aviation, or closely related fields. A professional engineering (PE) license is required in the specific state, or ability to obtain within six months.

High level of personal responsibility and accountability. Interpersonal skills to meet and communicate effectively with employees, managers, and clients. Positive attitude and professional bearing. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Value added skills could include:

Experience in the mountain west region

Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including roadway, utilities, and site grading design experience

Construction background or construction inspection experience

This position will require periodic travel and must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.

Salary: $80,000 - $115,000/year (Depending on experience)

Location: All Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming Offices

Relocation allowances are available.
