Job Description

LARGEST area N.E.M.T COMPANY is seeking 10-12 individuals to join the team as a Non Emergency Medical Transporter for Sarasota, Manatee and Pinellas Counties

Non-Emergency Medical Transporter, will transport patient/members to and from medical-related appointments.

This position:

1099 independent contractor position

Wages are paid on a per-trip basis

Candidates should be able to work Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday mornings. Sunday are available for those who are looking additional work.

Some trips start as early as 4am and can go to 8pm; Hours of work during those days can be flexible given your availability.

All new hires will be certified online with our company to meet Medicaid/Medicare requirements

Complete work through our app and ensure safe transportation for riders between home and appointments.

Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with dispatcher (must have an android device).

Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, free of any odors, to ensure pleasant transportation for riders.

Arrive ON TIME for pickup and drop off appointments.

MAKE calls to scheduled members to inform them of estimated pick-up time.

Communicate all issues, cancellations, and no-shows with dispatch.

Qualifications:

Wheelchair experience is a PLUS but not necessary.

Must be at least 25 years old (due to insurance).

Must have a CLEAN valid driver’s license

Must not have previous felony convictions.

No previous DUI's and/or reckless driving convictions.

Must have a functioning android to be used for work.

Must have a registered vehicle, 2007 or newer with 4 doors and be able to pass inspection.

Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical.

Ability to pass a drug screening.

Sedan or minivan (preferred)

Previous experience as an N.E.M.T or driver in other related fields a plus.
