Knowledge of model usage principles and practices and how they relate to the business. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels. Ability to work effectively and efficiently both as part of a team and independently, while demonstrating effective interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate leadership and organizational awareness skills. Ability to demonstrate effective consulting skills, with change management concepts, including communication and culture change. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, working with both exacting deadlines and shifting demands, unforeseen events, and changing priorities. Ability to demonstrate initiative and be proactive in accomplishing work tasks and objectives. Expert on MS Office tools like Excel and ability to create presentation using Power point on Short Notice Expectations From Role The job is a major point of contact between the Model Risk Management director and other second line functions. The project manager works independently and has high level of flexibility to consult with business at the Senior Management level. Being an Individual Contributor, he/she will need to have the ability to work closely with and get support from various functional areas (Compliance, Operations, and various model risk governance teams) locally and in some cases regionally and globally The project manager, Risk Transformation Governance and Project Management will be responsible for leading and managing transformational changes in model Risk management Retail Banking business with special focus within Regulatory Compliance areas. The role will also support the effective management of various governance and decision making forums The Project Manager will not be subject to close supervision, and will be expected to exercise independent initiative and judgement in proactively overcoming obstacles to success, dealing with uncertainty and changing circumstances, such as interdependencies, opportunities or risks. He/she will be expected to adopt an agile and flexible approach to work and an outstanding level of professionalism and conduct. To oversee the tracking of project risks/issues/dependencies, assesses the impact on the benefit realization for the project and takes action to minimize impact, actively challenging and removing obstacles Advanced communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills necessary to effectively present, explain, and advise senior management and external sponsors. Actively manage and co-ordinates the project plan, handling changes as they arise and keeping stakeholders focused on the agreed change outcomes and benefits. Provide timely reports on status, risks and issues, evaluating project performance based on management information. Captures key learnings from each project change and feeds back to Sr Management for methodologies and best practice. Responsible for supporting the strategic objectives of the Model Risk Management Department ("MRM") and providing leadership in the area of MRM Policies and Standards. Evolves the existing standards framework to support multiple MRM initiatives across all lines of business. Maintains the inventory, issues/findings, training documents and manages MRM technologies. Facilitates communications between Quantitative Modeling Team, Validation Team, Model Owners, Line of Business Owners and Project Management to ensure all parties are informed of Models, their changes, their uses, and the monitoring processes employed. Education Qualification: Graduate degree in Business, Mathematics, Econometrics, Accounting or related field.
