Job Description:
- Candidates with extensive VoIP troubleshooting/development experience will be highly preferred. Ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of SIP & RTP.
- 5-10 years for experience in SRE or DevOps role
- Engineer at heart, passionate about solving puzzles through coding/scripting and mindful of keeping the customer happy
- Hands on experience with Python, Java, Shell scripting
- Good understanding of various voice/video over IP protocols, in particular SIP, H.323, RTP, BFCP
- Good understanding of IP networking, TCP, UDP, TLS, X.509 Certificates, etc
- Advanced level knowledge of Linux, preferably CentOS; shell commands, iptables, networking, performance tuning, etc
- Working knowledge of VMWare, Openstack, AWS
- Comfortable using tools such as Kibana, Splunk, Jenkins, Circonus, etc
- Good understanding of technologies such as docker, Mesos, kubernetes, etc.
- Engineering support for operations and manufacturing production. 5 years of experience are required.
- Work closely with other SRE team located around the world
- Apply SRE/DevOps principles to effectively operate a globally scaled, highly available and stable cloud service on the WebEx platform
- Develop and follow standard processes and procedures based on ITIL principles
- Live and breathe the concepts of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Visibility and Assessment
- You will be work closely with technical leads for day to day run the service, capacity planning, customer escalations, etc.
- Use your analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions and deliver successful resolutions
- Participate in on-call and pager duty rotation to provide top notch service to our customers
- Review logs for errors, identify and file defects, propose design tweaks, and much more
- Use big data tools to query for information, build dashboards to communicate service status, configure alerts to identify issues
