The Fort Dodge Electrical Apprenticeship is accepting applications for its Commercial, Residential and Telecommunications apprenticeship programs. You will receive classroom instruction and on-the-job training in a highly skilled, in-demand career field.

Here is a list of just some of the training and job tasks performed by our apprentices:

Cutting, threading and bending conduit

Blueprint reading

Fiber optic cable terminations

Installing switches and receptacles

Troubleshooting electrical systems

Fire alarm system installation

Electric motor control

Photovoltaic system installation

Transformer installation

Minimum requirements to apply for an apprenticeship:

High School Graduate or GED

One year of High School Algebra or one semester of College Algebra, with a passing grade

Valid Driver's License

18 years old at the time of acceptance into an apprenticeship

Note: there is a $25 application processing fee

Aptitude tests March 22nd and interviews to be determined.
