Barista/Counter Server

Verbena in South Portland is looking for a counter server to join our team. We are a daytime from scratch cafe that also does catering. Verbena is a small team that serves a great group of local regulars. We are looking for motivated staff to join us.

Duties include: Assisting customers with orders in a fast paced environment, Answering phones, packing and running orders to customers, communicating with teammates to make sure orders are filled, preparing espresso drinks and coffee mix ins such as syrups and chai, keeping the coffee station stocked and organized, helping to keep track of inventory and assisting the team with shop cleanliness including some dishes.

Applicants should: Enjoy working with the public, enjoy working with a small team, have the ability to stay calm and multitask during busy times, have good communication skills and be reliable.

Current open shifts are Tuesday through Friday 9:30-4:30. There is some flexibility with days and time. More hours and shifts will become available as we begin offering new services.
