JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for numerous electrical activities, including installation and service electrical equipment, troubleshoot and evaluate problems, maintain adherence to relevant industry safety standards and various other tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Install, service, and maintain electrical equipment
Install electrical wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, or circuit-breaker panels
Performs electrical tasks including, but not limited to, the running of and installation of conduits, wiring, mounting boxes, lighting, digging trenches and installation of other electrical applications
Service malfunctioning electrical equipment, such as alarm or lighting systems
Evaluate each problem and apply experience and learned knowledge to determine remedial measures
Maintain strict adherence to industry and employer safety standards
Generate and complete variety of paperwork
Maintain inventory records of materials and/or job performance logs
May be responsible for working with apprentices, possibly engaging and mentoring them
Must be professional and courteous to customers
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
Maintain Journeyman’s license by completing continuing education
Proficient with all tools and equipment and able to train others on proper use and operation
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
High school diploma, Minnesota Journeyman’s license, valid driver’s license, experience preferred in commercial, agriculture and residential in electrical installations
