Job Description: Typical day starts at the shop with a quick meeting to discuss what’s on the schedule for the day and any particulars. After that the crew leaders get with their assistants to get their truck and trailer loaded with the necessary parts. We ask each crew to do a minimum of 2 yards a day with sometimes a third depending on soil conditions, lot sizes, and location from shop. Usually lots are stacked up on the schedule so there is a good chance of being in the same development for multiple days. We do typical/standard residential lots that are anywhere from 4 to 7 zones. We run a couple of different machines for trenching: Case Maxi-sneaker, Vermeer, and Toro.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of crew leading experience or if you have been an assistant lead for a couple years and want

to make the next step.

- Acceptable Driving Record

- DOT Health Card (current)

- Ability to pass physical strength evaluation and drug/alcohol screening. We are a drug and alcohol-free work

place.

- Ability to adapt and work with new technology and software for data entry. We use LMN which is web based

and runs through an app on a cell phone.

- Ability to draw up as-builts on surveys so homeowners have general knowledge of their zones.

- Must be able to manage a 3–4-person crew running 40-60 hours per week with some Saturday’s required.

- Must have good communication skills with construction manager’s, homeowners, and production staff.

- Safety must be at the forefront of this candidate’s daily process.

- Ability to be a team player and assist with Spring start-ups and Fall blow-outs is a must.
