PERCH (www.PerchMT.com), a new restaurant located in downtown Billings, seeks a Head Chef for its grand re-opening in Spring 2021. This position can be either full-time employment or a 3 to 6 month project based engagement with a set project fee.
The newly designed menu will feature world-cuisine, a few American classics, and local Montana favorites. Perch will serve a limited breakfast, full lunch & dinner menu. A full beer, wine and premium coffee / espresso menu will be available during operating hours.

For out of state applicants, please note this position may either be full-time if the applicant is willing to move to the Billings marketplace OR a short-term employment of 3 to 6 months in order to train new staff and develop the restaurant. Please indicate which you are most interested in with your resume response.
Prior Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
Salary:
Full Time Position: Commensurate with market rates. To be discussed, with applicant, prior to interview.
Short Term Position: Flat project fee to be discussed, with applicant, prior to interview.
Daily / General Duties:
Lead the food preparation team and kitchen operations
Work with the General Manager on kitchen maintenance, menu updates, seasonal offerings, events, and efficiency procedures
Food purchasing & inventory
Food quality control
Maintain hygiene procedures (Covid-19 & Influenza Safety)
Recruit kitchen assistants and cooks
Be a leader amongst the staff
