Shipping & Logistics Assistant

We are looking for additional support in our Shipping & Logistics department which is responsible for processing & shipping orders and other related administrative tasks. The individual should be organized and process driven in order to produce and maintain efficient operations and ensure customer satisfaction. Hourly rate based on experience with a range between $14/hr - $18/hr. The office hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The position qualifies for company health insurance benefits, paid time off and a 401K Matching Contribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities;

Process and track incoming and outgoing shipping orders.

Follow up with warehouse and transportation vendors on order status.

Assist with orders for all Sales Channels with packing slips and labels.

Assist with booking truckload shipments and international shipments.

Enter shipping data information into appropriate tracking systems.

Respond to emails & phone calls from Sales Dept, Customers and/ or Carriers.

Customer Service related to tracking and resolving issues.

Assist other team members as needed with administrative support.

Minimum Qualifications;

A minimum of two years work experience in an administrative or clerical position.

Basic knowledge of logistics/shipping is not required however preferred.

Technical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail is critical to this role as well as the ability to multi-task. We need a self-starter with the ability to take direction and an independent thinker and problem Solver. Customer service mindset and the ability to communicate appropriately with internal and external customers and vendors.
