JOB SUMMARY:

The store manager is responsible for assisting in day to day operations of the store, including scheduling, training and supervising employees. The manager is responsible for assisting in the store’s profits and all controllable expenses, including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages.

List of Responsibilities:

Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training of individuals to become members of the stores staff, ensuring excellent customer service skills while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.

Motivate, encourage and challenge store cashiers to provide quick, efficient, and accurate service.

Promote and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays.

Enforce daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, and well kept at all times.

Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed safely, for maximum profitability.

Assist in maintaining quality brand image standards to pass evaluations.

Supervise and discipline all store employees according to company policy.

Change gas prices as requested by the corporate office.

Ensure that the daily paperwork is complete and accurate and properly recorded.

Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily.

Assure communications with staff by way of a log book and/or meetings as needed.

Have the physical abilities to perform all duties of a store cashier regularly.

Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures in store operations.

Enforce all vendor policies and procedures.

Enforce all safety and security issues and report any and all unsafe conditions.

Report all employee and/or customer incidents and accidents following company procedures.

Assist in the monitoring of vendors to assure proper stocking and filling customers special requests.

Oversee or perform daily inventories of cigarettes and lottery.

Assist in performance evaluations/reviews and recommend staff for rate of pay increases.

Maintain an Underground Storage Tank Operator A/B license as required by the State and designate a staff member to maintain Operator C.
