In this role, the Project Manager will be providing experienced project management of all activities including management, data gathering, inventory management, control, monitor and execution of IT Infrastructure and application Migration.

  • Will work cross-functionally across business and IT teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of IT Infrastructure matters by all levels of management
  • Lead planning and/or implementation of migration events
  • Liaise directly with third party service providers to ensure successful move events with zero business impact
  • Facilitate review sessions with Technical Leads, Architects & App Dev teams to validate adherence to Global Technology Migration Entry Criteria. This requires understanding of Network, Firewalls, Storage, Infrastructure etc. requirements
  • Develop and own the Communication plan
  • Plan and co-ordinate resources required to support move events
  • Ensure contingency to re-plan in the event of unforeseen changes
  • Act as first point if escalation during move events
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
  • Provide Data gathering and inventory management plans and controls
  • Manage project and resource allocation
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years of experience in managing Data Center/IT Infrastructure/Application migration or related work experience
  • PMP, ITIL, MCITP or MCSE - an asset
  • Knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Current experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, MS Visio
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
  • Ability to create, update, maintain, disseminate and store project artifacts as needed for reference by the implementation team and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working with remote teams members both on and offshore
