The Citi Global Compute Services organization is responsible for architecting scalable, secure application platforms. You will be part of a team building a seamless experience that allows our teams to develop on any platform without worrying about the underlying infrastructure or its integrations. We are trying to build a self-service, secure, and multi-cloud platform to quickly allow our developer to code, test, and deploy to Production.You will get to work hands-on with industry leading tools and platforms at extreme scale. We want people to challenge management, voice their opinions, and ultimately drive our strategy. The ideal candidate will:
- Work with our partners to engineer secure and stable compute platforms.
- Take ownership of issues and provide technical leadership in providing real-world solutions
- Work on troubleshooting and resolving complex problems. OS upgrades, performing application setup and integration, diagnosing issues with applications running on servers or in microservices,
- Architect and engineer the infrastructure and configuration of compute platforms with a very strong focus on automation and infrastructure as code.
- Have prior experience developing applications on any of the three major cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- 5+ knowledge of Linux system internals, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 6 through 8 (yum, rpm, LVM, SELinux, kickstart)
- Knowledge of Unix (AIX and Solaris) preferred
- Expert knowledge of infrastructure-as-code orchestration and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef)
- Intermediate level scripting (Bash, Perl, Python)
- Intermediate knowledge of software development lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Intermediate knowledge of vulnerability threat management best practices
- Intermediate knowledge of identity management and access control systems (LDAP, Kerberos, AD, SSH, sudo, PowerBroker, PAM, etc)
- Intermediate knowledge of containers and container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
- Intermediate knowledge of virtualization and hypervisors (VMWare)
- Knowledge of logging and performance monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of Git and modern development workflows
- Bachelor s degree/University degree or equivalent work experience
