Sr. Director of Software Development, you will be instrumental at shaping the future of technology used on Healthcare, Education and Senior Living campuses. You will play a major a role in defining, designing, developing and maintaining product lines across all industries. We are looking for a technologist with a vision for the future who can juggle between simplifying complex matters and creating engaging presentations, while also diving hands on to help and mentoring other engineers.

What You ll Be Doing
  • Evaluate new technologies, processes and infrastructure in small spike proof of concepts. Determine multiple paths forward with its cons and pros. Apply the best-of-breed across product portfolio
  • Participate in design and architecture across large product portfolio. Provide technical leadership to multiple scrum teams across product portfolio
  • Lead the evolution of our product roadmap that defines where we are, future architecture and our bridge to get there.
  • Prepare graphic representation of our technology strategy and each technology initiative and eloquently evangelize it both internally and externally.
  • Continuously engage (remote and on-site) with our client base to assure that our solutions are meeting their needs now and, in the future.
  • Work with the teams to assure aligned across all parts of the organization
  • Deliver hands-on help to the engineering team, as needed, when teams face a bottleneck (Tactical or strategical)
  • Promote the use of the shared product modules, infrastructures and technologies to gain operational savings and data flow. Ensure that projects across multiple teams do not duplicate functionality.
  • Evangelize and enforce best practices (Scrum, code quality, automation, TDD)
  • Serve as a mentor to all members of the engineering organization

What You ll Bring to the Table
  • Experience within the transformation from traditional data center into cloud technologies, Amazon Web Services
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically in migrating products from on-prem to the cloud
  • Profound knowledge of cloud architecture and reliability engineering, AWS
  • Mastery of more than three of the following technologies is preferred: Java/.NET, Angular, CI/CD, Microservices, REST services, Containers, API Management tools (Apigee/Mulesoft, etc)
  • Deep hands-on experience with multiple databases is desired: SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, any Graph databases, Mongo/Redis.
  • Passion for software development and highest product quality
  • Extremely versed in crafting high-quality presentations is desired to communicate the technology vision to technical and non-technical groups within our client base and internal use.
  • Aptitude to author white papers and application design documents, gather requirements and put them in an easy-to-consume format.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to connect to every listener of the audience.
  • Education: BS/MS Degree or equivalent of application experience is preferred
