Molecular Technologist

MNG is a part of LabCorp. We offer a comprehensive selection of complex biochemical and molecular tests, including a robust portfolio of next-generation sequencing panels. In addition to whole exome sequencing and carrier testing, we also have expertise covering a range of neurological and mitochondrial disorders. The Technologist will support the Molecular/NGS departments for sample testing. The work schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities:

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Switch between automated and manual testing methods.
• Utilize a wide array of instrumentation, including but not limited to Hamilton Microlab STAR and QuantStudio 7, performing quality control and calibrations, as required.
• Accurately enter results of testing. Review reports to ensure accurate test result reporting in preparation for review by a Director / Pathologist.
• Recognize problems and initiate troubleshooting steps to evaluate testing failures and other problems.
