Business Development Associate

We are headquartered in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey with a regional office in Atlanta, Georgia.The Business Development Associate is responsible for outbound prospecting into target accounts and for inbound lead qualification on an ad hoc basis. This role requires motivated self-starters capable of making things happen and getting results. The Business Development Associate will utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email, phone, and other channels of prospecting to contribute to building a pipeline of qualified opportunities through the creation of leads, pre-qualifying prospects, and initiating prospect meetings. The Business Development Associate will report to the VP of Business Development and be part of the broader Chief Revenue Office, which is working collectively to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance goals.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Participate in the execution of the Business Development business plan including outbound calling
    • Gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of our value proposition and solutions to position to prospects
    • Hunt for new business opportunities within a subset of high priority Enterprise Accounts via a high volume of outbound activity
    • Ability to conduct tactical & strategic research at the company and contact level
    • Identify decision makers & areas of need within target accounts to initiate sales process
    • Pre-qualify prospects and schedule discovery calls for you and the VP of Business Development
    • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects in HubSpot CRM
    • Overcome objections of prospective customers and manage numerous requests concurrently & strategically
    • Feel comfortable talking about the company, the offerings and high-level industry trends
  • Qualifications/Skills:
    • A minimum of 1+ years B2B sales or business development experience (preferable but not required)
    • BA/BS in business, marketing related field
    • Highly coachable and interested in developing sales skills through ongoing coaching and training
    • Self-starter with sales "hunter” mentality (growth mindset)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
