Full-Time/Salary

The Dental Team Leads manage and support the dental suite practice and providers by coordinating all activities within the suite. The Dental Team Lead provides leadership, expert guidance and oversight by providing direct administrative supervision to receptionists, dental assistants, and hygiene staff.

General responsibilities include the following:

Provide and monitor high quality customer service to patients, La Clinica providers and staff, referring providers, insurance carriers, and other community agencies

Conducts interviews and makes hiring decisions

Monitor, evaluate, and coach staff to meet performance expectations in conjunction with creating appropriate performance improvement and development plans

Conduct practice management meetings with dentists to discuss patient access, productivity, quality concerns, and partnership efforts

Investigate patient and staff concerns

Maintain accurate provider schedule templates and assure efficient utilization of resources through effective scheduling of patients and staff

Communicate to Clinic Director significant impacts to clinic operation

Investigates scheduling errors, evaluate patient volume and flow, and determines patterns of unkept and rescheduled appointments

Participate with Clinic Director and Team Leads to develop and implement procedures that assure standard work is followed across all teams as well as develop and implement improvement strategies

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum: High School Diploma

Three years of experience in the dental/medical or related field

Related experience in a Community Health Center

Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills

Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation, compromise and positive outcomes in difficult interactions

Skilled at using electronic health records as applicable to area of work (EPIC, EagleSoft)

Preferred:

Experience as a certified Dental Assistant

Associates Degree in related field

Basic knowledge of adult learning models

English/Spanish fluency
