Greenacres Nursery is the largest retail/wholesale nursery in the Eastern Washington/North Idaho area, growing and selling large caliper and specimen trees and shrubs, perennials, annuals, and edibles. We strive to provide our customers with accurate information and advice on all things landscape and gardening- We don’t just sell; we educate and create positive experiences! Our customers come to us for our knowledgeable staff, our amazing selection and quality of plant material, and our fantastic prices!

Requirements

Be physically able to bend, twist, turn, and lift (up to 50lbs.)

Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Be a quick learner with good knowledge retention and an eye for detail

Be a self-motivated and flexible team player with a strong work ethic

Be outgoing and confident, with strong customer service and communication skills

Additional skills desired but not required (we can train you, but any of these move your resume to the top of the pile)

Strong knowledge of landscape plant material commonly used in the inland northwest and

its identification and culture

Education and/or degree in a horticultural field of study

Previous nursery work experience

Licensing/certification, e.g. private applicator, CDL, etc.

Small equipment operation and/or driving experience

We have positions open for sales/labor and crew labor at all 3 of our locations. Duties may include selling plant material and assisting retail and wholesale customers with all their landscaping and gardening needs, general plant care and maintenance such as watering, moving, transplanting, fertilizing, pruning, weeding, etc., loading/unloading and stocking plant material, planting trees, pulling orders, heeling or digging trees, general yard maintenance such as raking, spraying, weeding, and digging, operating small equipment or trucks.

Work is full time seasonal, the season running mid-March through October (sometimes earlier and later), with many employees returning year after year- we have valuable team of people that have been with us anywhere from 3 to 17+ years. We want you to be on our team! You must be able to work most weekends during the peak spring season. Hours of operation are 7am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 9-5 Sunday during peak season. Competitive pay starting from $14-$16 per hour D.O.E. Employees get discounted plant material and employees that return full time every season are eligible for our 401k program where we match 3%.
