WHO WE ARE:

Cambridge Winery was established in 2013 to produce quality award-winning boutique wines and to provide hospitality services that complement its tasting rooms and vineyards. We now have two locations: our Madison Tasting Room, which opened in November 2014, and our Cambridge Tasting Room & Event Center, which opened in February 2016.

JOB ROLE & DUTIES:

The Lead Chef position will work closely with our owner and operator, being their right hand. You will be expected to work Friday & Saturday, including our Friday Night Fish Fries. Your duties will include prep and dinner service. The position will start at 15-20 hours per week with opportunities for full-time and increased hours come summer and banquet season in May. The pay is up to $20/hour, based on your skills and experience, and you will be working at the Cambridge Event Center.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

-Prep duties for Friday and Saturday shifts

-Lead cook while on duty

-Comfortable ordering from suppliers when needed

-Comfortable working the different stations of the kitchen

-Open and regular communication with management and the owners

-Closing down and cleaning up the kitchen

-Dishes when needed (we all are part of this team!)

WHO YOU ARE:

You are a confident chef who understands the importance of teamwork. You may have had formal culinary education or you’ve learned from years of experience behind the grill. If you have experience with weddings or banquets, that is a plus. You have an open communication style and your friends all say you’re incredibly reliable. No task is below you and you’re an eager learner when it comes to trying new things.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

-3+ Years of Cooking Experience

-ServSafe® Certification

-Knowledge of CDC and Dane County Food Safety Health Code

-Valid US Driver’s License
