Irrigation Electrician

Position Overview

Install, operate, troubleshoot and repair 480 volt 3 phase service entrances and VFD and cross

line start well panels. Wire, run, troubleshoot, and repair center pivot irrigation systems.

Design and quote electric installations for irrigation wells and center pivots following NEC and

Local codes.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Wisconsin Master or Journeyman Electrician Certification preferred.

Knowledge of center pivot irrigation systems, electrical service equipment, well panels and motors, control circuitry, single and 3 phase power, 120/240, 277/480 volt systems.

Knowledge in the use of test equipment, volt/ohm meters, wire/fault finders.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in the installation and repair of irrigation equipment.

Good driving record with Commercial Driver License (CDL) or the ability to obtain a CDL within 12 months.

Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance.

Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes

Work Schedules/Hours

Work average of 50+ hours per week. More hours in Spring and Summer vs. Fall and Winter.

Some overnight travel required.

Pay will be based on experience level

This position will need a Master electrician certification by 2022
