ResponsibilitiesThe Social Network Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the plans and develops internal analysis strategies to provide innovative methods and assistance in social network intelligence analysis and presentation of the findings in support of other team members' analysis. Strategies and methods may focus on individuals, groups, events, locations, or special associations, based on the project needs actions of those that are countering hostile and adversary activities in the Information Environment (IE) through online passive monitoring and active engagement while providing a capability to provide early warning of adversary activity against United States objectives. Supporting a team of personnel that that will analyze Publically Available Information within the IE, identify Indications and Warnings and deliver approved content to counter adversary's messages in social media. Provide Open Source research and intelligence guidance and support to forward entities and interagency partners that will enable operation support and targeting information to enable follow on operations. Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Identify, obtain, and maintain access to online, broadcast, and available hard-copy media sources required to conduct Open Source Research, foreign and domestic, that reflect the facts of events, as well as the perceptions, trends, and public opinion of selected target audiences.
  • Maintain situational awareness of diplomatic, military, social, economic, intelligence, infrastructure, scientific, and technical developments within assigned area/team in order to produce effective, time-sensitive analysis and targeting.
  • Provide oral and written presentations of Open Source Research to support briefings, working groups, and seminars. Support will include oral and written presentations to customer and senior leaders with the use of multimedia tools from language specific data sources.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • At least Eight years' experience in conducting analysis and open source research supporting DoD or IC customer, Plus;
  • Demonstrated experience Monitoring and Analyzing online activities of adversaries
  • Demonstrated success utilizing tools, databases and websites to collect and analyze data and information to include online videos, broadcasts, and social media platforms.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership supporting open source research and strong proficiency in (Russian)
  • Eight years' experience in conducting analysis and open source research supporting DoD or IC customer with at least a portion of the experience within the last two years.
  • Ten or more year's active duty military, civilian or contractor performance working in Information Operations.
