A Fortune 500 client in the Charlotte market is seeking a Data Engineer. This Data Engineer will design, create, build, and maintain production data pipelines for data science and analytics in the healthcare industry. The ideal Data Engineer will have experience with HL7 and FHIR, working with data interfaces, data storage, data pipelines, and scripting . This Data Engineer will also have software development experience using Apache Airflow, Spark, MongoDB, and MySQL. In addition, this Data Engineer will have proven expertise in SQL/PLSQL, Jave/Scala, Microsoft .Net, Python/R, Unix/Linux/Perl scripting. This position can offer a very strong compensation with benefits and PTO if needed. We cannot work through a 3rd party employer for this role. Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
- Data Engineering certification from a major cloud computing platform provider
- Expert level HL7 and FHIR
- Experience with Apache Airflow, Spark, MongoDB, and MySQL
- Experience with SQL/PLSQL, Java/Scala, Microsoft .net, Python/R, Unix/Linux/Perl Scripting
- Strong Cloud expertise (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
