The Data Analyst will support the Army Human Resources Command (HRC) located at Fort Knox, KY. The scope of this effort is to provide a select range of IT services for specific activities within HRC. The IT services encompass all activities necessary to provide secure enterprise-wide systems sustainment, management, enhancement, development and integration services for the lifecycle administration and deployment functions. DSA will assist the HRC in the goal of meeting the vision of the Army G6 of a secure, standard based environment.Job Description:The Data Analyst is responsible for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. They devise or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. This includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Guides and advises less experienced Data Analysts.The Data Analyst is responsible for designing scripts and programs to perform specific database functions and to analyze and maintain data. SQL data analysts integrate data from multiple data sets into one database system to streamline information. SQL data analysts program specific database functions to create database triggers and design data tables. After reviewing and analyzing data, SQL data analysts design reports to show statistics and other information about specific database topics. SQL data analysts remove dead data files and other irrelevant information to free up database space. SQL data analysts write scripts to analyze data and perform specific data queries. SQL data analysts isolate and resolve issues with data and databases. SQL data analysts collect data from multiple sources and add it to the database.Required Skills and Experience: 10 years of SQL data analysis experience using QL programming to write programs and scripts that analyze and organize data. Strong programming skills, particularly in SQL, structured query language, and other common programming languages Sharp analytical thinking for analyzing specific data sets and statistics Highly detail oriented for writing SQL programs and monitoring data Ability to multi task and work with multiple data sources and data sets Understanding of the software development process and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Proven time management and organizational skills Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environmentsRequired Education and Certifications: Masters or Bachelors with 10 years experienceMUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD CLEARANCE ; this will be verified prior to interview.
