Job Description

As theCommercial Manager you will provide financial and operational reporting, in-depth commercial analysis and decision support in regards to the operations activity and financial and operational performance.This also includes financial and scenario modelling to assist management with key operational decisions.The role will also performdetailed cost analysis, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, Key Performance Indicators to track operational activity as well as evaluation of capital investments and lease proposals.

Overall, therolewill be responsible for ensuring thatthe business unitmeetsitsfinancial and operationsobligations,activelydrive theidentification& development of effectivereportingand operationalprocessesin addition to providingvalue addedinsights on resultsthatwill supportthestakeholders in achieving their performance goals and understanding of the businesses results.

Actively support the achievement of some of business objectives and various initiatives including:

  • Productivity improvement and optimisation
  • Better return on our assets, business case preparation and directing investment where it’s most needed
  • Cost savings and expenditure controls
  • Performance analytics and visibility

As the Commercial Manager, you will:

  • Provide commercial support to business decisions
  • Track business performance trends, including review of any under-performance with relevant stakeholders
  • Actively drive operational cost initiatives through identification, execution, support and reporting
  • Participate in otherad-hocprojectsas well as in preparation of capex/opexrequestsas required by management
  • Agree, develop and track key performance indicators to provide insights and support decision making
  • Support stakeholders to achieve and surpass operational and financial performance goals

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated experience inbusiness/commercialanalysis or a similar area
  • Analytical ability to organise and query data
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings in a concise, insightful and simplistic manner
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and ExcelSkills
  • Tertiary qualification in business with aprofessionalaccountingqualification
  • CPA/CAAorequivalent
