Cyber Security Project Manager (W2 Only)

- Develop, execute, monitor and manage executes project plans, identifies dependencies, identifies and mitigates risk, and resolves project issues.
- Manages project costs, resources, change requests, and issues
- Manages project variances (knowledge of EV, SPI, & CPI is a must).
- Identifies and tracks key project milestones (base-lining critical path).
- Prepares project status updates, reports, budgets, variances and various analysis.
- Ensures accurate reflection of project data.
- Prepares agendas and leads project meetings; distribute meeting minutes
- Manages vendor relationships and expectations.
- Ensures compliance with internal project management methodology and change control procedures.
- Documents and analyzes lessons learned and sharing with others.
- Provides motivation and direction to team members. Key Deliverables:
- Project Schedules, Cost Estimates and Milestone Deliverables
- Status Reports, Risk/ Change Request/ Issues/ Action Item Logs
- Required project deliverables as required by ITS SDLC
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Experience with technology security projects, including operational technology (Internet of Things (IoT), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and network security (Network Access Control (NAC), Decryption, Segmentation)
- Familiarity with foundational standards and best practices in Technology and/or Cyber Security (e.g., Center for Internet Security (CIS) Top 20 Critical Security Controls, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF))
- Experience utilizing an automated project management system.
- Experience effectively allocating/utilizing project resources.
- Experience leading project teams in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills
- Experience working with business analysts/partners to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- Experience creating Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROM), activity duration estimates, and cost-benefit analyses to support business cases for new project ideas.
- Experience managing stakeholders and the internal project team expectations and communication flow as they relate to scope, project deliverables and responsibilities.
- Experience developing project plans and sub-plans (communications, risk management, change management, deployment, disaster recovery, etc )
- Must be able to pass the Texas DPS Criminal Justice Background screening (may be exposed or work with secure & sensitive data)
- PMP certification a plus.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver's license. Knowledge of common SDLC methodologies.
