- Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch
- Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes
- Work with CI and CD tools, and source control such as GIT and SVN
- Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements
- Writing automation scripts, specifying, documenting and developing new product features
- Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices
- Test our system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed
- Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise
- More than 8+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role experience in software development and infrastructure development is nice to have
- Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS
- Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL
- Experience in migration projects from .Net to Java/Angular
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.
- Experience in working Agile environment with incremental code deployments (Agile, Jira, WorkFront, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.)
- Proficient in Object Oriented Design/Development (OOD), Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Model View Control (MVC) design pattern and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Extensive experience in using C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, MVC framework, Web Forms and Web Controls
- 2+ years of experience with open-source technologies and cloud services (nice to have)
- 2+ years of experience in working with Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration scripts
- Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management
- Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement
- Time management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed to collaborate and work with multiple teams
- Solid team player and excellent troubleshooting skills, proactively work on the issues and should be a self-starter
