We are looking for a competent construction laborer in a local (Lincoln, NE) remodeling company. The position is responsible for the majority of the physical labor performed on the job. To perform the job successfully, the individual must demonstrate the following: dedication, dependability, motivation, initiative, punctuality, communication skills, ethics, good judgement, adaptable and be a quick learner. You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands. Individuals must demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn all aspects of construction. Able to become familiar and proficient in use of all tools: hammers, drills, saws, etc. Able to lift and carry tools, equipment, and various supplies or materials.

Responsibilities

Assist tradesmen in construction projects (bathrooms, kitchens, basements, etc.)

Unload and carry materials at construction sites

Use equipment to break old forms and structures

Clean out site from debris and discarded material

Skills

Proven experience as construction worker

Experience in operating equipment like drills, saws, etc.

Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.)

Knowledge of basic construction principles and methods

Able to work in a team

Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed

Able to read a tape measure, add, subtract, multiply and divide, basic math

Able to apply common sense and able to carry out directions

Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 100lbs. Will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination

High school diploma or equivalent
