Fantastic opportunity to work for Alutiiq Logistics & Maintenance SVS LLC, supporting a long term DOE, Federal Government contract.

Main job duties include maintenance and repair of all things to do with domestic plumbing. Maintain all domestic hot water makers, gas and electric water heaters, and the domestic hot water pumps. Maintain and clean all floor drains in mechanical rooms. Maintain all roof drains, and storm drains. Maintain all natural gas systems. Maintenance and testing of all plumbed eyewash stations. Testing of back flow preventers and fire hydrants. Keeping all licenses and certifications up to date. Responsible for inventory on all consumables and materials in accordance with job duties. Responsible for notification to SPM/QA/QC of equipment changes (CMMS Updates). Responsible for notification and scheduling any building or main equipment shutdowns. Responsible for quoting and ordering of materials needed to do job duties.

Domestic plumbing include:

All bathroom fixtures: faucets, sinks, water closets, flush valves, waterless/flushable urinals, and building sewer/drainage inside and outside of building.

All drinking fountains and water filters (change filters once a year for bottle filler style fountains and every six months for traditional fountains.)

All kitchenette faucets, sinks, and water filters (change filters every six months)

All interior and exterior hose bibs

All gas/electric water heater, hot water makers (to include aquastat types and sensor types), and domestic hot water pumps (annual water heater/ hot water maker draining. Monthly checks of DHWP and quarterly oiling, if required.)

All plumbed emergency eyewash/stations (Test and clean once a week to ensure proper function).

Floor Drains, Roof Drains, Storm Drains, and Sump Pumps.

Floor Drains (PM includes a monthly flushing with a 5 gallon bucket).

Roof drains/Storm drains (PM includes a monthly inspection to ensure that drain openings are clean and clear of debris, and an annual cleaning and flushing done every Spring.)

Sump Pump (PM includes a monthly readiness inspection and quarterly trench cleaning). Pump is located at building 20397.

Natural Gas Systems (Maintain all regulators and piping/shutoffs for systems.)

Backflow Prevention:

Maintain all backflow preventers (BFPs.)

Perform annual BFP tests.

Submit all test results to city of ABQ.

Fire Hydrants:

Perform annual flow test on all hydrants.

Let all proper base authorities know of testing (CMT, Fire Dept, Base Utilities.)

Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) Compliance:

Must be familiar with Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) as is expected of a licensed plumber for the State of New Mexico.

Must refer back to and be familiar with the Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), as applicable.

For work on all existing fixtures or work on new fixtures, ensure the work completed is up to code. If it is not, a plan must be developed to bring it to code.

Working with Other Disciplines:

Must work with on-site HVAC technicians, electricians, fire protection, grounds crew, etc. to become familiar with how the domestic water supply actions will impact other systems involved.

Required Skills:

Must be licensed as a Journeyman Plumber by the State of New Mexico

Must be a certified Backflow Assembly Tester/Repairman

Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance with the DOE at a minimum of "L"
